Southern Belle Farm, owned by the Carter family, is a 200-acre working farm located in McDonough. Known as a dairy farm for three generations, the farm is now a beef cattle and educational farm that has become a favorite field trip site for area schools in fall and spring, with activities such as a milking demonstration in the dairy barn, strawberry picking, hayrides, a visit to the pumpkin patch, a lesson in cotton-picking and a walk through the farm’s annual corn maze. Southern Belle even provides lesson plans and other resources to teachers. The Roswell Art District (RAD) was established eight years ago by the owners of several art galleries and studios that are all located off Canton Street in Historic Roswell.
