“I try to always treat patients the way I would want to be treated,” Dr. Collins explains. Because of this philosophy, Dr. Collins wants his patients to have easy access to him for questions and concerns. He supplies all patients with his personal number for questions after hours or on weekends. “It’s important to me for patients to be able to reach out to me whenever they have a concern,” Dr. Collins says. “I want patients to know I am always there for them personally.”

As an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, Dr. Collins is a highly trained dental specialist who performs a variety of surgical procedures. They include third molar extractions (wisdom teeth), implants and bone grafting, pathology, surgical orthodontics and maxillofacial trauma to name a few. His procedures are done in his comfortable office environment, and patients have a variety of anesthesia options available, including general anesthesia, IV sedation, nitrous oxide (laughing gas) and local anesthesia.

Dr. Collins knows that when patients see him, they are often facing significant surgical needs. He strives to help patients feel more comfortable and confident by educating them about their conditions and treatment options. Flat screen monitors in every room make it possible for patients to view educational DVDs which help paint clearer pictures about procedures and risks associated.

Dr. Collin’s offices are also equipped with the very latest, high-tech diagnostic equipment such as 3D radiography, which allows Dr. Collins and patients to have much more comprehensive views of the oral and facial region than traditional X-rays allow.

This year Dr. Collins is celebrating seven years of service to the Southside of metro Atlanta through his Fayetteville office. In addition to his Fayetteville office, Dr. Collins also provides care from a second office location in Lithonia, where he has been practicing for three years.

Originally from Arkansas, Dr. Collins has lived on the Southside of Atlanta for seven years. He is married to his high school sweetheart Deidrea, and they have five wonderful children ranging in age from 5 months to 14 years. For Dr. Collins, there is nothing better or more important than spending quality time with his family and friends.
