Peachtree City Library Book Club                 Spokesperson’s name:  Jill Prouty, Peachtree City Library   Administrator

Where do most of your members live?  Most live in Peachtree City, but some come from Fayetteville and   East Coweta

How long have you been an organized Book Club?         10 years

When and where do you meet?  Second Wednesday of each month at 10 a.m. at the Peachtree City Library, 201 Willowbend Road

Most recent selection:  Two Rivers by T. Greenwood

What did your club have to say about it?  Most members liked the book, although it wasn’t a favorite. Issues discussed included motherhood, racism and forgiveness.

Next on the list:  Sundown, Yellow Moon, by Larry Watson

How are your books selected?  The moderator/spokesperson provides a list of new paperbacks (30 or so) for the group to review. Then the group votes on the top three or four choices. We make a point to select one classic novel a year. We also read nonfiction once every three or four months.

Is membership open?  Yes. Contact Jill Prouty at 770.631.2520 or e-mail jillprouty@peachtree-city.org

Favorites of 2009  The Fall of Troy by Peter Ackroyd and The Commoner by John Burnham Schwartz.
